OUR HISTORY

Alfonso's Family Trattoria and Gourmet Pizzeria has been a Somerville tradition since 1978. It all began when our Dad, Aniello, came to the United States in 1953 from Naples, Italy. He brought with him a passion for food and wine. He opened his first pizzeria in Brooklyn and created a recipe for pizza that he has been using ever since. Along with his wife Yolanda (and her authentic Neapolitan recipes) and son Anthony, they have dedicated themselves to bringing their loyal customers the finest quality food and pizza anywhere.
